Whether you just enjoy being photographed as a hobby or you would love to make a career out of catalog work or runway, modelling is a difficult job. With all of society’s beauty standards and your own discipline, it can be difficult to keep up. With any career you choose to pursue, you will have to endure hardships. The one rule I live by, with everything I do is make sure you enjoy what you do and love every minute of it.

Putting yourself out there to start a career modelling with an agency can be very intimidating, especially with so many people having the same dream. With persistence and determination you can achieve your dreams.

The first step after meeting with an agency are your professional head shots. This is a very important step when starting. Having a professional portrait will help ensure that you are putting your best foot forward!

Model head shots can be very specific depending on the agency. As a good rule of thumb, neutral and simple outfits are key so that the emphasis is all about you and not your clothes. Minimal natural make up is also a must so that the agency and potential businesses hiring know what you look like naturally.

Like I said before, modelling can be very challenging. There are so many different guidelines, suggestions, and rules to follow depending on your agency and for each job. My job as a professional photographer is to help make starting out as easy and seamless as possible!
