"Photography Is A Love Affair With Life"
In past blog posts, I have written about why I am a photographer. Being a photographer, this reason changes all the time. I have photographed so many things, from weddings, to bands, to newborns and children, to models and seniors. I have had a wide variety of experience which I am extremely thankful for.
Now I was thinking the other day how crazy it is that I can have two favorite images from separate sessions, one could be from a wedding and the other could be from a model session. Now the two images are completely different genres of photography but there is something that they both share. What could be a common factor between the two that make them my favorites? I asked myself that question because they have to have some similarities.
As the title says, "Photography is a Love Affair with Life." That is the common connection between all my favorite images. They all have this sense of intriguing energy and excitement. The images show genuine emotion and what life is really all about. I enjoy capturing the best moments of life whether its a band rocking out at their first live performance, a bride starting the adventure of the rest of her life with the love of her life, a newborn bundled up and sleepy with the love of their family surrounding them, or even a model starting their journey in the agency world and creating a wow worthy portfolio. They all share one thing, the love of all aspects of life and documenting every step people take along the way.
Now this may seem cheesy but thinking about all the years people have been photographing people. These images are priceless, they capture memories that no one can ever recreate again. I love what I do because I get to create something so special and even magical. The images I take are ones that only I can capture. As a photographer my job is solely unique because no one else has my creative eye. Finding the meaning in the things you love to do is honestly one of the best feelings in the world.
