Family and photography are the two most important parts of my life and I love when I have the opportunity to combine the two! I had the pleasure of photographing my cousin, Eve, on her confirmation day back in March. I wanted to share a few of my favorites from the day and talk a little bit about portraiture on special family occasions.

When the family gets together for holidays and other special occasions, I believe it’s important to capture the special moments together whether they are candid or posed. Looking back at photo albums, photography has been a major part of all of our lives growing up. From scrapbooking to making the annual family calendar, those photos are priceless. I am elated to be able to continue to capture these precious memories for my family to look back on.

Eve, you are growing into a beautiful, vibrant, and intelligent young woman. You are growing up so quickly! You received the Sacrament of Confirmation and are starting high school next year, all I can say is I am looking forward to seeing what lies in the future for you. I am thrilled to have photographed you on this special day and I hope to be able to do the same for your next big milestone.
