"A Million Feelings; A Thousand Thoughts; A Hundred Memories; One High School Senior"
Gretchen Elaine Photography’s 2019 senior sessions kicked off in early spring. One of the first seniors of the season was Jared! His session couldn’t have gone any better, we had the perfect weather, beautiful sunlight, and of course an awesome high school senior with his entourage (aka his dog Layla and Mom.)
Now many parents, especially those that have senior boys, have asked me about how long it takes or warn me that their senior really isn’t into the whole “Senior Portraits thing”. I know many guys aren’t a big fan of being the center of attention for a photo shoot, that’s why for my senior guys I like to keep it short, sweet, and to the point. I always like to reassure the parents that for a Senior boy, in reality the session will take no more than an hour. With changing outfits and backgrounds, it is pretty quick and I know the seniors appreciate that!
What always makes the sessions fun is when they get to bring their loving pets in her a few photos! My favorite senior sessions have ultimately included their pets. I know having their dog or cat with them can also make the senior feel more comfortable and relaxed.
All in all, I know many people don’t like to be the center of attention or feel totally at ease in front of the camera, by the end of the session, every one of my seniors have enjoyed the time and gotten to relax and show their true personality.
A note to Jared ~
You did any amazing job for your senior session and I hope you and your family loves and cherishes the images. You seem to be very smart and determined and I am sure you are going to do great things in the near future whether the next step is working in the industry or later going to college. I wish you the best of luck and enjoy all the special moments and memories that are to come!
Send me a message under the “say hello” tab to chat about your upcoming portrait session!
