Sometimes you are unable to put into words the special moments that happen either everyday or at events in our life. I wanted to share with you one of the reasons why I do what I do.

I am a photographer not only because I enjoy being around people but also because I enjoy capturing their emotions and freezing time for an instant. I talked about being an event photographer before in another post, but I would like to go into more detail about the emotions in my images. The community closeness in Lititz is very strong with all the activities and events we have. I try my best to portray that when I photograph the event. Every smile, every laugh, every genuine look toward friends and family, that is what I look for. 

Events are great because there are families, adults and kids, acting silly and having fun. I look for not only those loving moments but also for humor. Sometimes it might be a couple of girls having fun dancing to some tunes or a baby fixated on getting some of that yummy popcorn! At every event, you never know what you will find and what special moments you will come across. I cannot exactly explain why a photograph pulls at heart strings for some people, sometimes it is just an "in the moment" shot that brings the most emotion. The natural genuine emotion and the "in the moment" shots are one big reason why I am a photographer.
